Oh My Gosh - - It can't be! It was just a couple of years ago that Josh was playing trombone in the fifth grade band at Garden Road. (Okay - so it's been more than a couple - like - 20, maybe? I'm sure glad that it si just the kids who grow up and we parental-types never seem to age... right?!?) Merry Christmas!! Hello to all of you from the Riley clan!! We're done with gifts, the kids are off doing their thing, the turkey's in the oven, and I finally had a chance to sit down and look at all your news! Great to hear from you all that everyone is doing so well. Congrats to Kara! You can come to Traverse City to practice . . . if you love snow!
What a handsome family! It was fun to see them, having heard about everyone from Linda. Linda, you look great! Let me know when you're going to be in NYC and I'll come down to visit. It's been a busy year for my family too. Mario and Carlye are well (no grandchildren on the horizon). Mario continues to work as an investment banker in Manhattan, while Carlye finishes her graduate work in psychology. Dante, my second oldest, graduated from Tulane in May and is a post-doc at Dalhousie Univ. in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Julie, a senior in high school, is applying to colleges, including Scripps and UCSD. Oh, and I'm studying on Saturdays, working toward a principal's license. Still teaching fulltime and writing for the emergency helpline at scholastic.com! Best wishes to the Foote family for much happiness and good health in the coming year!

Merry Christmas from the Laguda's Some good news from Operation Santa this year at the San Diego Post Office. We were able to get 90 families that were in need adopted by postal workers and postal customers and special thanks to MY 94.1 Jeff and Jer show for having us on to talk about our program.......

Loved the family update. The kids all look great and very happy. I just found out yesterday grandchild # 6 is on the way.[grandpa hasn't heard the news yet--A Christmas surprise?] Traci and Jason are expecting at the end of July. They have Jordyn who is 8 and Ryleigh who just turned 6 so they were very surprised and would love to have a Brendan Joseph. Right now the family is so enjoying Megan's, McKenna. We really enjoyed your Christmas card. It is wonderful and amazing to see how the kids have grown. They are all doing so well, you must be so proud! We miss you guys. We haven't been to San Diego in a while but we will hopefully be out there soon. Mom and Dad come up here quite a bit since Racquel lives here too. It's wonderful to see your beautiful family looking so wonderful and doing so well. Linda, isn't it fun having one of the kids grow up to be a teacher? Josh was such an awesome student, he must be an even better teacher. When my daughter, Krissy, decided to get a secondary English credential this year, I was so excited. She is thrilled to begin teaching in January. San Marcos offered her a semester contract at Mission Hills High School where she did her student teaching. She'll be working with juniors and ELL students. Bob and I are enjoying being grandparents to Rob and Janna's 17 month old, Joshua (great name!) Of course, we think he's the most wonderful and smartest kid in the world. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas, and all of God's blessings on you this next year.
