Hey yall! It’s
been another great year in ol’ P-town. It started off with our
school musical, Oklahoma! I played the role of Ado Annie and
thoroughly enjoyed becoming a crazy character onstage. (It was
rumored that the show was one of the top three musical productions
ever produced at Poway High School.)

On another
musical note, (sorry for the cheesy pun), our Die Lieder choir
traveled to New York this year for our annual festival tour.
Although our performance in the Lincoln Center was fun, I
primarily enjoyed roaming around the city, discovering where the
best cheesecake is made, and even having a hard-core snowball
fight in Central Park.

It was incredibly freezing for a true-Californian like me, but all
worthwhile
because after all, it’s New York…the best city in the world.

This summer was
also awesome, but the highlight would have to be our trip to
Hawaii. It had all the aspects of a vacation I could possibly
want: beautiful beaches, interesting streets to explore, colorful
sunsets, fascinating wildlife completely different from that of
California, and even the city-life that I
love
in Honolulu. An added bonus was the many coffee farms for which
Kona is so famous. The best shot I captured on the vacation was of
a gecko in the back garden area of the Mauna Loa factory.
Well I’m now
almost halfway through my senior year of high school. I still have
a lot of homework, still try to cram in as much as possible into
my schedule, yet still have fun with my friends. I’m having the
best year
of
high school yet. It’s hard to believe, but “Lil’ Foote” will soon
be off to college. For all of you wondering out there, I plan to
major in music with an emphasis in arts ministries. From there on,
I have to trust the Lord to reveal the path He wants me to take in
life. As for now, I’m enjoying my last year at home, but still
looking forward to an exciting future.

Here I am at La Brea Tar pits. Don't worry- the lions were quite
friendly there.

Fooling around in downtown Hollywood... Despite the fact
that Elvis didn't really look like Elvis, and Marilyn Monroe
wasn't all that nice, I still had to donate money just to take a
stinkin' picture.

Here I am with my friend Rebecca at the last Madrigal Dinner
extravaganza of my high school career. *sniff*
