Here’s a quick
tour of my life in 2002.

I finished up
a fun last semester at Wheaton College and
graduated
in May. The top picture is of all my roommates from the Long
House. There were 10 of us which made for constant activity
and fun (one roommate is missing from the picture because she
got married the day before graduation…) This is Katy, my
roommate for 3 of my years at Wheaton.
Over the
summer, I came home to San Diego and got a great
job working as
an educator at Sea World! Throughout the day I
would
rotate to different exhibits and talk about the animals and
answer questions – which means during the night shifts I just
got to watch a bunch of seals sleep and see a lot of fireworks
at night. This is a picture of Amy and my mom and I
watching one of the Beluga whales when we came on my day off
just to have fun.
Around
July we took a long road trip back to Chicago so I could
start
med school at Loyola University Chicago. Their medical center
is actually in Maywood, which is not very far from Wheaton.
I’m living with two of my ‘Long House’ roommates from
Wheaton. One is going to Loyola with me (3rd from
the left in the top picture) and the other is working nearby
in insurance (2nd from the right in the top
picture). I just finished anatomy, and while it was a fun
class, I’m very glad to no longer be "smelling" like anatomy.
For
Thanksgiving my boyfriend Chris got to come home with me and
enjoy the holiday with our family since his family just began
serving as medical missionaries at a clinic in Togo, Africa. This is a picture of
us at the Wild Animal Park.
Have an awesome
Christmas and a great New Year! |
